A good laugh!

Had a good laugh just now...

Chinese New Year is coming... In previous years, I'm always veri happy during this period... Will help decorate the house, buy the candies, help pack the red packets, help eat the chinese new year goodies of cos... =P

Last year... Didnt get to celebrate Chinese New Year cos Pa was hospitalised... This year, we aren't realli celebrating either cos it's still not a year yet since Pa left... =(

Pa's birthday happens to fall on Chinese New Year... That's y every year, during Chinese New Year, he'll also receive angbaos... And his angbaos are always BIG... Much bigger than ours, both in terms of size and quantity! We are all so jealous always... Haha~ And he'll nv fail to give us the "hao lian" face... Every Chinese New Year, mom will always stay up late and wait for us to sleep... So that she'll hide our angbaos under our pillow... Sometimes we just act like we are sleeping... So she wont haf to stay up too late... =) Next morning when we wake up, me n my siblings will fight to use the toilet. Haha... After bathing and changing into 'new-year-clothes', we haf to each get two mandarin orange and try to locate Pa... Haha! There's this rule... We must each say 2 wishes to Pa and cannot repeat... So the 4 of us will always fight to go first... I remember got one year, my elder sis (Chinese=C5) was the fourth one... Then she just kneel there and think... think... think... Until Pa finally gif up and gif her the angbao cos we gonna be late to bai nian le... Haha... 2 Big angbaos to kick off the day... How nice... =D

Was thinkin bout dis year Chinese New Year... I cant realli feel the 'xin nian qi fen' anymore... Abit sad... Abit empty... Then just 1 hour back... Haha... I couldnt realli believe my eyes when I saw 'cai shen ye' standing at our house door step... Lol! I was in my room printin *boring* lecture notes when I hear 'xin nian fa cai... xin da yun... gong xi gong xi fa da cai... bla bla bla...' Out of curiosity I went to the living room and saw my elder sis trying to stop herself from laughin out loud, brother lookin veri confused and my mom lookin traumatised, maid was laughin out loudly in the kitchen... Then I finally understand why... There's this super enthu 'cai shen ye' standin at the door saying all those wishings loudly... Wanted to sell some stuff actualli... He was realli gd la... I dunno how to say but he links everythin up into a poem and just recite from door to door... Haha... Ended with 'you lai you qu, yi qi fa!' That's y my mother's $17.80 went to... "yi qi fa..." Haha... Everyone laughed so hard la... Guess it was money well spent ba... Brought our family lots of laughter... =)

Feelin rather happy now... Hope I haf a good nite sleep... 8-to-8 sch day tmr... Endure!
