A little update bout moi~
Have been workin for sometime le. 2 months le wor! It really didnt feel tt long!I've completed my first rotation at children's inpatient. Enjoyed my rotation there alot! Indeed, the initial phase of having to adapt to workin life, tryin to get used to the workflow and especially all the different paeds dose + medical conditions tt we were not taught back in school, etc was really tough. But I really enjoyed my everyday.
I really love the little adorable children, simply love interacting with them when I do my rounds. =D It's so much fun doin dispensing here. The way they smile and wave to you when you approach them; the way they tilt their head to peep at you and when you look back, they quickly hide behind their mother (repeated for at least 4 times b4 they got bored and change to another "game"); the way the little girl's eyes shine when i dispensed pedialyte and she said, "daddy, daddy, can i please put that into the fridge?" and so i said, "daddy, daddy, she must take all her medicine then can give her this 'ice cream' rite?"; the way the little children hold the hem of my dress and listen when i dispense the med to their parents as tho they really can understand... Ah~ Now you know why I enjoy my work so much! I'm surrounded by so many adorable children everyday, and they never fail to bring a smile to my face. =)
Now I'm at my second rotation at women's inpatient. It's less children, and more young women, pregnant women, new mummy, mummies and older women. Haha! Actually when I first started this rotation, I felt a little scared. Cos I saw how painful the labour contractions are, cos I saw many young women (some even younger than me) comin in for abortion, miscarriages and the nausea and vomiting some pregnant women are experiencing.. Ah! Just hope I dont faint during labour in future, cos my threshold for pain is actually quite low. =P Tink I'll use ALOT of epidurals and anaesthetics for sure de! Lol!
Hmm, feelin tired every day. Need to clear my sleep debt soon, if not sure fall sick de! =(
